  2. It’s official: ByteDance apps (Toutiao and Douyin) engage Chinese consumers longer than Tencent’s WeChat.
  3. During 11.11 the number of discounted products offered will reach 14 million, 40% more than that of 2019.
  4. Baidu launches in-app shopping channel in latest e-commerce move.
  5. BBC and Bilibili sign new content deal to generate more China-inspired content and bring more BBC programs to China.
  6. Bilibili launches livestream recruitment program to connect employers with young livestreaming talents.
  7. Shenzhen consumers spent RMB 8.8 million in largest trial of digital yuan. After Shenzhen the digital yuan will be tested in 28 cities, such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, etc.
  8. Meituan to raise US$ 2 billion in debt, partly for “refinancing”.
  9. Alibaba will invest US$3.6 billion to boost its stake in Sun Art Retail to 72%.
