ABOUT THE REPORT
COVID-19 has brought serious changes to our personal and professional lives. It’s been a strange year in China’s business world to say the least. According to data from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics, China’s GDP in the first quarter declined by 6.8%, its first recorded negative growth in 20 years.
As an experienced observer of the Chinese market, ChoZan has been closely following the pandemic situation in China. An economic loss like this is an indicator of the big, rapid changes in market conditions. To fully understand the impact on the Chinese economy, the ChoZan team conducted a survey in early April with participants in various sectors from different regions in the country, focusing on their confidence in the future and their financial expectations.
